🗺 Inner Maps, Outer Journeys, and Moonlight Magic
Big shifts, fresh clarity, and a full moon reminder to balance ambition with self-care. Let’s catch up and explore what’s next.
It’s a full moon in Capricorn today! I’ll get into that in a bit. First, I want to share a few things that are still shifting as I settle into my new homeland.
This resettling has me thinking about what’s next for my own evolution, my life, and my business. There are a few things that have risen to the surface as I ground into this new reality:
💫 Facilitating change through exploration is at the heart of everything I do. My intention is always to provide resources, safe spaces, and services to help other joyful rebels and adventurous spirits find and walk their most aligned path. Stories, travel, nature, and astrology are my mediums.
💫 I love to find the connection points between our outer and inner journeys. As we explore the world around us, our inner landscapes shift to accommodate new information and experiences. When we better understand our inner workings, we show up for and move through the world differently. I can’t talk about one without the other. The same mediums of stories, travel, nature, and astrology help me bridge the two.
💫 I’m tired of carrying all the books around in my brain! I’ve been storing up all sorts of travel stories and novel ideas for ages. Travel has been the ultimate bridge between my inner and outer worlds, so I’m starting there.
I’m thinking about a book centered around intentional travel for those of us who want playful fun and also meaningful reflection as we adventure. Obviously, there will be plenty of practical “how to” advice to help others create their own thoughtful travel experiences.
For the rest of the summer, I’ll be rearranging things behind the scenes to realign my website and offerings to reflect this clearer vision.
Whew! Never a dull moment here. Such is the life of an explorer — figuring it out as I go and adjusting when new information and clarity emerge.
🌕 Cosmic Check-In: Full Moon in Capricorn
The full moon represents culmination and completion. In Capricorn, a time for celebrating our wins and releasing what we no longer need for the path forward.
Capricorn brings structure, ambition, and the long-game energy we need to reach our goals. Opposite the sun in nurturing Cancer, this full moon reminds us to balance effort with rest, discipline with compassion.
♑ Capricorn asks: Where are you building something that matters?
♋ Cancer answers: And how are you caring for yourself in the process?
This full moon reminds us to take our joy just as seriously as our goals. 💫
A moment of reflection: explore these questions in your journal, on a hike, or over a cold drink with a friend:
Where am I clinging too tightly to routine, perfection, or productivity? Do you have a rigid belief it’s time to let go of or an overly packed daily calendar? Think about how you can maintain focus and make room for more of what nourishes your body, mind, and spirit
What’s one recent effort or accomplishment I can truly celebrate? Write yourself a little note of appreciation for how you’ve been showing up and making progress toward what you want, even if it feels small!
How can I stretch my comfort zone (Capricorn) while staying deeply nourished (Cancer)? Consider this your sign to try the power yoga class you’ve been eyeballing or to set that boundary you’ve been thinking about (yes, boundaries are a form of self-care!).
(If you want to know more about your own chart and how these movements might be landing for you personally, send me a message and we can set up a time to chat!)
📚 What I’m Exploring
In the midst of all the transition, I’ve still made time to explore.
Here are a few things I’ve found interesting recently:
✍️ MasterClass with Malcolm Gladwell – Powerful insights and inspiration about writing non-fiction. The platform so many interesting topics for us curious humans to explore and I’m looking forward to diving into more! )Curious? This link should give you two weeks of access for free.)
📖 Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver – A raw, masterful novel that reimagines the Dicken’s classic, David Copperfield with emotional depth and unflinching honesty. Her novel, The Poisonwood Bible, is still in my top ten favorite books of all time.
🎬 Hedy Lamarr – This woman is a stunning reminder of what it means to be multi-passionate in a world that wants to box you in. Look her up—you won’t regret it. Thanks to my brilliant and creative friend, Thomas Beutel, for bringing her to my attention!
